Goals

The AI for All initiative has the following goals:

  1. Ensure AI fluency of UCF students before they graduate
  2. Encourage the use of AI for productivity gains by faculty and staff

Guiding Principles for AI Use at UCF

  1. UCF seeks to empower its faculty, staff, and students to help them explore AI relevant to their work and interests.
  2. AI fluency can bring learning and efficiency gains to UCF faculty, staff, students, and administrators.
  3. Human agency must remain at the center of any work with AI.
  4. Use of AI tools must be ethical, responsible, fair, and transparent. AI can be used to enhance student learning, but AI output should not replace student learning.
  5. Use of AI tools must comply with institutional policies about data privacy and security.
  6. We recognize that AI products contain difficult-to-detect bias and/or hallucinations.
  7. Because AI is now part of our technology ecosystem, it cannot be ignored and we should expect lifelong learning about AI tools and their place in society.
