About UCF’s AI Community of Practice

A Community of Practice refers to a group of individuals interested in the same subject area—in this case, artificial intelligence—who meet regularly to discuss how they are engaged in that topic.

In practice, our AI Community of Practice is comprised of UCF faculty and staff. We meet monthly at day/time patterns that vary each month. Each meeting takes place on TEAMS and lasts for one hour. These meetings are recorded and can be accessed by members afterward in case they cannot attend the live session.

Typical topics include:

  • Updates to AI at UCF
    • Recent developments in related UCF policies, regulations, or other guidance
    • Recent publications, presentations, or grants from UCF Faculty
    • News about UCF courses, programs, and certificates related to AI
    • Upcoming UCF-sponsored events related to AI
  • Updates to public AI tools
  • Curated list of recent articles and studies, with a focus on the use of AI tools in research, administrative tasks, and teaching and learning
